Questions & Answers about working at Pincho

  • The Pincho family is large and vibrant! Our team is full of people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, but everyone shares a passion for food and great service. Our restaurants vary in size, so the number of colleagues and guests can differ from city to city. No matter where you work, it's a lively and fast-paced environment with lots of small dishes to serve. Guests use our Pincho app to book, order, and pay, so our approach is a bit different from traditional restaurants. As a server, you get to spend more time with guests, creating memorable experiences. Shifts are primarily evenings and weekends. Internal surveys show that our team members enjoy working together and form strong bonds, something we value highly at Pincho!

  • All available positions are listed here on our career site. To apply, submit your resume and sometimes answer a few short background questions. If your profile is a good match for Pincho, we’d love to invite you to an interview. You’ll visit the restaurant, share more about yourself, and learn about Pincho, the work environment, and the role. The hiring manager will then follow up with you about the next steps. If we’re a great fit for each other, we’ll discuss employment terms!

  • Yes, at Pincho, all restaurants in Sweden operate under a collective agreement. This provides a clear framework of rights and responsibilities for both our staff and Pincho as a company. The agreement, known as the "Gröna Riksavtalet," is between the Hotel and Restaurant Workers’ Union (HRF) and Visita. It covers everything from employment types to wages, work hours, leave, insurance, and pensions. A solid foundation for security!

  • Absolutely! We have a digital introductory training program called Pinchoversity, where you'll get to know Pincho and become comfortable with your new role. The introduction then continues on-site to ensure you're fully prepared.

  • At Pincho, we prefer that you’re at least 16 years old. There are age restrictions in the workplace to protect young employees. Before you turn 16, the law provides strong protection in terms of working hours, responsibilities, and heavy labor. Many of our team members start during high school, but we have employees of all ages.

  • It depends on the role you’ve applied for, the restaurant’s needs, and your availability. If you’re still in school and can’t work full-time, you’ll likely start with a part-time probationary contract. If our work together is for a limited period, we may agree on a temporary position. Permanent contracts are rare at the beginning, as most start with probationary periods. Some team members work on an as-needed basis, called "enstaka dagar." All employment types are covered by the HRF/Visita collective agreement.

  • We encourage you to keep an eye on our website and apply for open positions there. Some restaurants find it challenging to handle walk-in applications and may not be able to give you proper attention during busy hours. If there aren’t any openings at your desired location, you’re welcome to send an email with a spontaneous application.

  • Our summer positions are posted at different times depending on the restaurant, but you’ll find most of them listed between March and May. Keep an eye out for openings at your preferred location! You can also email the restaurant to inquire about their summer hiring plans.
